When my husband and I first got married, I would hint about things and then get mad when he wouldn’t pick up on it and help me. We were both young and needed to learn how to grow together. After having kids I learned this and am trying to teach my kids to ask for what they want. I too, learned to do it myself and I realized that now I don’t get as frustrated at my hubby as I did before because men ARE more direct so he NEEDED me to come right out and ask. This is a super important life lesson!

Oh this is good! I need to start doing this with my kids, and myself. I don’t like hearing no. As much as I dislike hearing no, i do need to ask directly more! Thanks for this, and I am glad you got some extra sleep!

Of course you do…I mean did. 😉

And I’m fine with them asking for everything. It doesn’t mean they will get it. So they learn to hear no.
