There are just some milestones that out rank others, hands down! One of those is baby giggles. The first time your baby lets out a giggle or a full belly laugh is the best! Sienna just turned 4-months, and we are there.

Her first laugh happened on my husband’s birthday a couple of days ago. We were sitting at the table after dinner. I was holding the baby. My husband was opening a card from the kids. They LOVE those cards with the annoying music. Well, this one was playing “You know you make me wanna shout”.

As the card opened, my daughter Melia (4) started dancing. Sienna let out this little belly laugh. We weren’t sure if it was the card or the dancing, or the combination, because she was kind of staring off into space. Tired. Maybe a bit delirious?

It was adorable!

So that night as I was getting her ready for bed, she kept right on laughing for me! Baby giggles over and over! I’m a total comedian.

My husband heard from the other room and hurried in to try and get a good video (our first)! Usually she clams up when she sees the phone and just stares at it. Not this time!

Now all day my husband has been trying to get her to laugh. Nothing! Tonight, I was holding her. He was standing beside me looking at the computer. His reaction to what was on the screen was to say, “What?! Mother F#*$%@”. Sienna let out a little giggle…looking directly at him. Clearly entertained.

Daddy’s first baby giggles were in relation to dropping the f-bomb. Way to go Dad! Way to go!
