I am in love with “The Little Boy Who Lost His Name”! This adorable, personalized book was given to the girls as a gift after Cameron died. It is not your traditional bereavement gift, which made me love it even more. But it fit perfectly!
The story is a about a little boy who wakes up one morning to discover his name is missing. He goes on magical journey, meeting animals along the way, to find the letters of his name. Melia was so excited when she saw Cameron’s name in the book. I fell in the love with it because it gave us a fun way to remember him! As we read it, we talk about it being Cameron’s adventure.
The book itself is a beautifully illustrated, soft bound book. The pages are thick and do not rip easily. Inside the cover is space for a personal message for your child. During the creation process, you get to choose the main character that looks most like them. You even get to select the animals that represent each letter (no duplicates if you have duplicate letters – different animal for each instance).

I love the story behind this book! It was written as a labor of love between friends in their spare time. They set out to create a personalized book that would surpass any they had seen on the market (and succeeded). Lost My Name is their publishing company that came from the creation of this book. Their mission? To bring magic back to the world and make children more curious, clever, and kind.
Below is a video taken from their website. It allows you to see the quality of the illustrations.

I keep wanting to buy this for my little one. She’s 2.5 years old now, finally feels like she’s old enough to appreciate it. Maybe.
